Did you know that more than 60% of Italy’s truffles come from our province and the area around the town of Acqualagna?

Discover with us the secrets of the black and white gold from the Marche region. The Marche is the only region in the world where fresh truffles are available 12 months of the year. From the black summer truffle, to the noble varieties of the black tuber in winter, to the ‘king’ of truffles, the white winter truffle and its little brother in spring, the Bianchetto!

We invite you to be an ‘early bird’ with Paolo, our trusted truffle hunter. Join him and his dog ‘Freccia’ in their search for the precious tuber and learn the secrets of truffle hunting!

Afterwards, lunch at the ‘Lampino’ restaurant, where, of course, the truffle will play the culinary starring role.

Afterwards, visit the truffle fair in Acqualagna, the truffle capital of the Marche region.

Programme:

• Arrival on Fridays or earlier:
  • arrival and check-in at Villa Cartoceto from 3:00 p.m.
• Saturdays or Sundays:
  • get up at around 5:30 a.m.
  • a quick coffee and croissant
  • Drive to Acqualagna and subsequent truffle hunt with dogs
  • Visit to a truffle farm where black truffles are grown
  • Truffle lunch at a great restaurant in Acqualagna
  • Afterwards, visit to the truffle museum in Acqualagna
  • Between 1 and 23 November, Sat/Sun, visit to the 60th Fiera Nazionale del tartufo bianco
  • In the afternoon return journey and visit to the Abbey of San Vincenzo in the Furlo Gorge

Shuttle services to and from the airports of Ancona, Rimini and Bologna can also be provided on request (not included in the price).
